I love this quote. Most people, including myself want to credit A. A. Milne with it, but he did not actually write it. The line comes from the original Disney movie Pooh’s Grand Adventure. (A video I watched a million times with my youngest child.)
I just love the simplicity in the encouragement Christopher Robin gives to Pooh when he says this. The setting is the day before Christopher Robin starts school and he knows that for the first time, he and Pooh will have to be separated. Knowing how much Pooh depends on him, he offers the sage advice.
Sage advice. That’s just what it is. Remember that you can do more than you think. Don’t let self doubt stop you from achieving your goals and dreams. In the video, this is something that all of the friends of the 100 acre woods learn.
So that’s it. Not much to write. I saw it in a store over the weekend and said to myself “Monday Meme.”
As for the design itself, I chose the colors because they actually reminded me of the colors shown in the movie. Winnie the Pooh is a character near and dear to my heart, a beloved friend from not only my childhood, but that of my children. There’s magic in that shared love, so I put the sparkle in the design to convey that feeling.
Let’s live Christopher Robin’s words: let’s BE braver than we believe, stronger than we seem and smarter than we think.
Make it a great week, friends.
